Getting to know me:
I am blessed with an over active enthusiasm gland and an appreciation of the precious gift of life.

I am trying to break lose of being a hostage "to what I should do."

Do I have the courage to step across the threshold into the exciting world of possibilities?!?

It was a wonderful 2 tank weekend.
Happily, the stormy weather waited until I got home. It was a glorious sunshiny Friday and Saturday. It was perfect top down convertible weather and I loved every minute.

We went on a giant "lost" just randomly driving this way and that exploring. I loved it.

We hiked and went across the "Land Bridge" that crosses I-75.

Then on to Jacksonville Beach. It wasn't my initial destination. I was thinking of Savannah or the islands off the coast of Georgia however we started out late and with the hike it was hard dark by the time we got to the beach and decided that watching the NCAA Men's Basketball at a Sports Bar was more fun than more miles. It was. West Virginia won! I picked them to win the National Championship so I am thrilled. It is a beautiful beach. I noticed that the sand there is more like brown sugar while ours is white sugar.

On Saturday morning I totally scraped the idea of going further north and decided heading down A1A would be fun and it was fantastic. We even passed a castle. You can read about it at www.castleotttis.com It was definitely a double take moment. We turned the car around to take a better look. It is right across the street from the ocean.

We made it to St. Augustine. The aroma of fresh bread drew us to the Spanish Bakery. Happily, some mini loafs were coming out of the oven. They made for a succulent picnic. If I could only have one food for the rest of my life it would definitely be bread. When I have traveled it has been my saving grace as I am not very courageous when it comes to unusual foods and flavors.

After we left St. Augustine we headed back to St. Petersburg. Today has been a liquid sunshine day so I am glad I decided that I would save the splurge of a second night for another time. It would have put a damper on a great time to drive home in stormy weather.

Tomorrow, Monday is a day of possibilities. I am excited and blessed to have survived such a wonderful life adventure for so many years and am ready to add new adventures.

I am thrilled to hve another birthday! Yeah! Time to celebrate!
I have always enjoyed my birthday. I've never been one to hide my age. It is a sign of my life adventure and survival. This birthday I am especially thrilled. It is time to celebrate and enjoy the new beginnings that come every Spring and Easter.
I hope you enjoy a fantastic Friday and wonderful weekend. May you daydream and dwell in the world of possibilities. Maybe have some fun flying a kite, blowing bubbles or do like me and go for a ride with the convertible top down (caution don't try this in the rain). Enjoy - Celebrate!

2010 NCAA Men's Basketball
After day one I still have my top 8 in place. Kansas, Ohio State, Syracuse, Kansas State, Kentucky, West Virginia, Duke and Baylor. My final four are Kansas, Syracuse, West Virginia, and Duke.

I missed 5 yesterday I hoped Texas El Paso would win (I wonder why-smile). I thought Vanderbilt, Florida, UNLV and Marquette would win. It will be interesting to see how I do today.

I have Michigan State, Maryland, Oklahoma State,Ohio State, Syracuse, Gonzaga, Xavier, Pittsburgh, Temple, Wofford (another pick for love of family), Clemson, West Virginia, Duke, Louisville, Texas A&M, and Purdue. Whew, I think that is all of them.

No wonder they call it March Madness! I just guessed this year as I didn't have a ranking sheet. It is fun to fill out the brackets and see how far you go. It will be interesting to see if after today any of my Final Four picks are still playing. Of course, as might be expected I have picked West Virginia to become the National Champs.

Wishing each of you a fun-filled weekend as Spring officially arrives. Enjoy!

The Napoleon Hill Foundation Thought for the Day
March 17, 2010 - THE GREATEST OF ALL SUCCESS RULES IS THIS: DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD IF YOU WERE THE OTHERS.

The Napoleon Hill Foundation:
The Golden Rule is more than a principle of ethical behavior; it is a dynamic force that can work good in the lives of untold numbers of people. When you make it a practice to treat others as though you were the others, you spread goodwill among people who, in turn, may be moved to do the same. By their actions, they influence still more people, who generate goodwill among even more people. This force for goodwill increases exponentially and will return to you from totally new sources. The benefit you receive from a good deed performed today by a total stranger may have been a chain reaction from long ago when you observed the Golden Rule in your own dealings with another.

I hope you have a safe and fun-filled St. Patrick's Day! I'm wishing you all the

Not what you might expect to see from your balcony

From men trimming the palm trees, to pirate ships and barges, the view from the balcony is always interesting. My favorite view is when dolphins are visible, playing as the swim by.

Daylight Savings time is here! Hurray!
I am head over heels excited that it will stay light later each day. My internal solar batteries are thrilled. It is 7:49 PM Eastern Time and it isn't "hard dark" yet! Yeah!

Who in the world does this research?!?
Bizarre Facts:

More Monopoly money is printed yearly than real money throughout the world.

A cockroach can live nine days without its head before it starves to death.

About 100 people choke to death on ballpoint pens each year.

People photocopying their buttocks are the cause of 23% of all photocopiers errors worldwide.

And here are some questions to ponder?

If a pig loses its voice, is it disgruntled?

If Fed Ex and UPS were tomerge, would they call the resulting company FED UP?

Do Lipton Tea employees take coffee breaks?

Whateve happened to preparations A through G?

These questions were reprinted from "Rick Frishman's author 101 Newsletter." You can subscribe at http://www.author101.com

I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!

Do you live on "Someday Island"?
Do you catch yourself say, "Someday, I'll go on vacation. Someday I'll move to Oklahoma. Someday I'll clean out the garage. Someday I'll learn to kayak. Someday I'll write a book." We need to remind ourselves that life is not a dress rehearsal. We need to seize every opportunity to make our "someday" today.

I am so very grateful that my dad instilled in me to live each day fully. I had the most amazing Mom and Dad.

I love the message in the following story:

"Each morning he'd stack up the letters he'd write...tomorrow. And think of the friends he'd fill with delight...tomorrow. It was too bad, indeed; he was busy today and hadn't a minute to stop on his way. 'More time I'll give to others,' he'd say...tomorrow. But the fact is he died and faded from the view and all that he left when the living was through was a mountain of things he intended to do...tomorrow."
Unknown

"If you have something to say to a loved one, don't wait until tomorrow. Too late comes sooner than later."
Nick Welton

When was the last time you did something for the first time? Dare to break from your routine. Add spontaneity to your life. It can be fun. I'm not suggesting you cast your responsibilities aside; just put your "I would like to..." your "someday I'll..." on your do now list. Life is an on-going adventure, take yourself by surprise dare to be unlike you every once in a while. If not now, when?

Happiness
Irish saying

May your troubles be less. And your blessings be more. And nothing but happiness Come through your door.

Wishing you a sensational Sunday and wonderful week.

It may be a guy thing?
The McRibb is back. I know my sons and most of my male friends are thrilled.

I think McDonald's marketing is terrific. They know they have an item that is enjoyed and by selling it as a "limited time" offer, it has increased its desirability quotient. It may not be my choice but I love the marketing.
