Random thoughts, ideas, shared memories and happenings.

Getting to know me:
I am blessed with an over active enthusiasm gland and an appreciation of the precious gift of life.

I am trying to break lose of being a hostage "to what I should do."

Do I have the courage to step across the threshold into the exciting world of possibilities?!?

Zach died on Monday. He wrote this song entitled "Clouds". I lay on my back and enjoy watching the clouds and envision different things in the shapes.

Zach Sobiech is 17 years old and diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer that takes the lives of a large percent of its childhood victims. Given only months to live, Zach turned to music to say goodbye. His song "Clouds" spread, and soon, Zach's message was heard across the country. We wanted to help Zach spread his message, and bring awareness to increase support for finding a cure. So, we asked our friends to help out...they did.

May you enjoy your holiday weekend.
Growing up Memorial Day weekend was always the launching of summer. The pool opened and school was winding down or had just ended. Now as an adult, I recognize the true reason behind Memorial Day. It is a day to remember those men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice and gave their lives while in the Armed Services. It differs from Veterans Day when we pay tribute to those serving and those w...ho have served and are currently alive as well as remembering those that have died.Memorial Day as an adult is still a fun weekend that feels like the launch of summer however now I take time on Monday to remember those in the military who have died in service to their country. I say a thank you prayer for them, their families and I include a thank-you for those who are first responders here that have also given the ultimate sacrifice; the police and fire fighters.

Celebrated a great Mom's Day!
Heard from both Tom and Jim.  The weather was beautiful. I walked in Seminole Park and then this afternoon splurged and ate a burnt hot dog at Honeymoon State Park.

I felt Super blessed.

Is it true this cartoon was about your "Super Mom?" Awesome! God bless her.  My son posted these.

So very many people were affected by this war.
Those that served and those that made the ultimate sacrifice should be remembered.

Returning servicemen were given NO respect. It was a difficult time in our country.

It forever changed the lives of many.

Just a reminder, lets remember our Viet Nam vets. The war ended on April 30, 1975. This is the Pacific Stars and Stripes from May 1, 1975. I was in Cubi Point, PI. Our squadron flew humanitarian missions for so many who escaped from South Vietnam on boats and anything else that would float.
