"Busy" has come to be used as a universal explanation. I would have loved to have been there but I was "busy." I would have called or been in touch but time got away from me and I was so "busy." There just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day, I'm sorry I got "busy" and forgot.
Our lives seem to have gotten very "busy" and we have come to substitute texting,
e-mails, tweets, facebook and other forms of social media for personal contact and communication.
Time goes by so very quickly. Proof of that is seen in how fast time passes from when our children our babies and need us to when they become independent, capable adults. It seems that it all happens in the blink of an eye.
We say we don't have enough time to get things done but we have the same number of hours each day that Michael Angelo, Edison and Davinci had. It may be that we have more diversions.
None of us has an expiration label on us. We don't know when our time will run out or when time will run out for those we love and treasure. My reminder on this day to each of us, myself included, is to make sure you don't let being "busy" take precedence in your life.
