Hurray to life
![]() Life has given me bountiful blessings. It certainly hasn't taken me on the path I anticipated. I've learned tons of lessons - mostly the hard way. The end result of these lessons has been that I believe in the impossible. How could I not? There have been numerous times in my life when I thought something was "impossible" only to learn that it was possible. In fact, many times I have discovered that what appeared to be impossible now seems obvious. I have learned so many lessons that it seems amazing that I've squeezed them all in. Even so, I am still naive about so much and have lots more to learn. I am a perpetual work in progress. I am at a stage in my life that is exciting, intimidating, overwhelming and downright scary. Yhe challenges seem insurmountable with more hurdles to cover than I anticipated. Happily, I prefer that, it excites my spirit. I don't find comfort in having a routine. It makes me restless. I am truly a happy lady. I have been blessed beyond belief and have had the most wonderful guardian angels come into my life. They have guided me and enriched my life adventure in countless ways. Today as I am celebrating my life I wish my family and friends good health and happiness. To everyone I wish a sense of curiosity, appreciation and bliss conciousness. I hope you enjoy your day. Described perfectly...
I love the way Phil Keoghan put it in his book, "NOW - No Opportunity Wasted."

Plan B turned out very nice
I have been saving for the 3 day Florida Resident Disney Pass with the Hopper option. I thought I might have enough saved up and would go there today to celebrate the first day of Spring. Unfortunately, I don't have it yet BUT I did have a pass for Busch Gardens that doesn't expire until next week.

I packed up my papers and sunscreen and went to Tampa. I had a great time writing at Busch Gardens Africa. The place was packed with Spring Breakers so the energy was electric. I found a great table and wrote, researched and read. Then I rode the train around the park and through the animals. Then I wrote at another location. A couple of hours later I went on the Rhino ride. It was a blast. More writing and then one last train ride. I ended the day by watching the show Katonga. I stayed until the park closed and came home and made a grilled cheese sandwich for dinner. It was an awesome day and I accomplished alot in creating my book. All in all, it may have been a Plan B day but it was none the less a wonderful first day of Spring. I hope you had a great day too.
Beyond a bad hair day
Last night I washed my hair and decided (unfortuntely) to let it air dry. I would like to say it was to give my hair a break from the heat of the hair dryer. Truth I was too lazy and didn't want to invest the time to dry it. This morning when I looked in the mirror as I brushed my teeth, YIKES! It was Dog the Bounty Hunter's hair staring back at me. ![]() I think it is time for a haircut! Happily it is the first day of spring so despite the hair, I think it is a perfect day to celebrate. Hurray! It is fixed!
This is to hereby inform the world that unequivocally I am definitely the most fortunate woman in the world. I don't need to find a four leaf clover or catch a leprechaun to know that the day my sons entered my life I was forever blessed. ![]() Wednesday, March 14
Is there such a thing as being time dyslexic?
I have had some of the most fun e-mails from loving friends pointing out that I was in error when I said to move your clocks "back." I was supposed to say "Spring Forward."

In Judy Logic, it is moving the clock "back." Back equates to me as "later." I understand that it is more accurate to say "Spring Forward." Happily the end result is that the days are darker longer in the morning and lighter later in the evening and that suits me terrifically! Wow, I've been on a roll lately with oops! Alas it is better to make an oops and be writing than not. Thanks everyone for your patience with "Judy's World." The best part of my oops was hearing from some people I have missed and am happy to know they are still visiting and reading my blog. Whatever the time of day is when you are reading this, I hope you are happy right this very minute. 0 comments
Wishing you happiness
Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect. It means you have decided to look beyond the imperfections.

Ooops!
On the threshold of my birthday and what do I have to do? Prove, that my brain isn't working at 100%. For those of you who read my blog earlier today you saw that I was showing off my niece. She is extremely beautiful and I'm happy to report that her beauty extends inside as well as on the outside.

I inadvertantly called her Jasmine (her equally beautiful) sister's name. I was rushed this morning and at the same time excited to share one of the terrific prom pictures I received from my sister, Wendy. This is a perfect example that "the hurrier I go, the behinder I get." The correction is made and apologies extended. No matter what name I used, you have to admit my neice is incredibly beautiful. Enjoy your day! 0 comments
A Red Carpet Moment
![]() ![]() It looks like it's "Red Carpet" time. Who is that arriving? Is it Christina Arguilera? No, the lady getting out of the car is prettier. It is Caitlyn on her way to prom. 0 comments Sunday, March 11
Busy weekend
![]() I finished another chapter in my book, hurray! I did my happy dance. I ate strawberry shortcake on Saturday and went to the Renaissance Festival today. The whole time I was there I thought about going to the Renaissance Festival last year with my son Tom and his family. Even the rain that poured for a while didn't damper the fun. I had a great time and smiled today as I remembered the maze and all the things we saw and did. As a perfect compliment to thinking about Tom and his fantastic family, I heard from my son Jim's wife, Carol today and thanks to Jim and Carol's blogs I was able to see pictures of their children Jake and Jonah. I've included one before. Needless to say, the best part of my weekend was feeling connected to my sons and their families this weekend. It was magical to feel close to them despite the miles that separate us. I wish everyone a week that is magical and happy. 0 comments Friday, March 9

Heading south
It is a beautiful day today and I am going to go on an adventure. I have been wanting to take a sidetrip to Sanibel & Captiva but have continuously found rationale to put it off. Today I am going to treat myself by taking my writing and heading south.

My parents had fun staying at a Camp Ground in Ft. Myers during the winter months. My mom had a blast looking for shells and collecting what she called "gookies." I miss my parents. They were fantastic, caring people that still inspire me in a variety of ways. I will splurge and get something sweet to eat at "Jerry's." It is a restaurant that my parents enjoyed on Sanibel. I am working on the chapter in my book about the importance of giving back. I am going to have fun giving back to myself. It would be fun to have someone to go with me but adventures are meant to be taken not put on hold. Off I go, this is going to be fun. 0 comments Wednesday, March 7
Happy Birthday Willard
Over the last many, many years I have smiled often because of Willard Scott. Today is his birthday. After hearing him wish men and woman who have celebrated living longer than a century, I wanted to wish him a very Happy Birthday!

![]() I used him as the catalyst for some of my workshops. One taught that you cannot judge someone by their cover. It was a fun class. I dressed up as a bag lady and from appearances didn't look like I had any money. Sales agents dismissed me because of my appearance. Their attention changed when they learned that lots of cash was in my shopping bag. Hmm, I wonder if one of the writers of the movie Pretty Woman were in my class. Maybe it inspired the scenes on Rodeo Drive (smile). Another class concerned itself with selling and marketing to "Baby Boomers." A large demographic, often with time and discretionary money to spend. The number of people living beyond 100 is a perfect example of how people are living longer, healthier lives. Willard's numerous birthday wishes serve as a terrific example. Thank you Willard for all the smiles you've given me. Thank you Willard for your inspiration. I hope you have a most excellent day. I am glad you were born and that your life entwined mine. Happy Birthday! 0 comments Sunday, March 4

Liquid Sunshine Day
The weatherman just described our weather today as "gloomy." An accurate description.
Posted by MzDaVinci @
9:18 AM
He went on, almost gleefully, to say, "a cold front is moving in and the temperatures will be dropping. Sunday night the temperatures may even reach the 40s." It is understandable that our weatherman should be enthusiastic when there is a change in the weather since most of the time sunshine reigns supreme. Generally they talk about our humidity, mention the times of the low and high tides, as well as the temperature of the Gulf to fill their time. I don't mind if they find joy in having a "gloomy" day to describe. It is my hope our weather continues to be somewhat unexciting. Happily we have no ice to scrape from our windshields or snow to shovel. Our "cold front" rarely contains freezing temperatures. When it does, it is measured in hours and monitored carefully to alert farmers to protect their citrus, strawberries and other plants. It is frightening to think of storms spawning tornadoes or the Gulf becoming warm and developing hurricanes. A "gloomy" day may effect my personal solar batteries and make me feel a little droopy but I will happily take that compared to the roller coaster of emotions that might occur living in an area where the weather is unpredictable and constantly changing. We can never underestimate the power of weather. I hope wherever you are today, you are warm and safe and enjoy a happy day with your family and friends. 0 comments Friday, March 2
Give thanks everyday. Don't wait until November.
The news this morning is overflowing with stories of tragedy and devastation. Our soldiers dying and in harm's way, storms taking lives and wrecking havoc across the country, tornadoes, a horrendous bus accident in Atlanta, and even an earthquake in San Francisco.

As we send our prayers and assistance to those suffering and their families,it is a time for giving thanks for the lives of our loved ones and for the chance to be alive today. Every moment matters. 0 comments Thursday, March 1
Success Magazine
The cover of the March/April issue of Success Magazine shows Roger Staubach. The name of his article is, "Integrity Matters."

It is awesome to read this. It has been many years since he was part of my family's life when he was attending the Naval Academy. He had a strong work ethic and integrity then and it is wonderful to see that those qualities have served him well. Congratulations Roger! 0 comments
Hurray! Great News!
I just heard that the days will officially be longer starting the 2nd Sunday in March instead of waiting until April. Happily, Daylight Savings Time is changing here in the United States for 2007.

Apparently it may cause some computer clock problems as they aren't set-up that way and other countries may not adopt the change BUT I am one person who is thrilled that soon it will stay light later. My solar batteries have an extra hour to get revved up. Hurray! 0 comments |
