I finished another chapter in my book, hurray! I did my happy dance.
I ate strawberry shortcake on Saturday and went to the Renaissance Festival today. The whole time I was there I thought about going to the Renaissance Festival last year with my son Tom and his family. Even the rain that poured for a while didn't damper the fun. I had a great time and smiled today as I remembered the maze and all the things we saw and did.
As a perfect compliment to thinking about Tom and his fantastic family, I heard from my son Jim's wife, Carol today and thanks to Jim and Carol's blogs I was able to see pictures of their children Jake and Jonah. I've included one before.
Needless to say, the best part of my weekend was feeling connected to my sons and their families this weekend. It was magical to feel close to them despite the miles that separate us.
