We currently purchase a tremendous amount of goods and raw materials from China. Perhaps we should also consider their advice.
"Deal with the faults of others as gently as with your own." Chinese proverb

I have often said people are like icebergs. So much of their lives are hidden from view, under the surface. We only see a small part based on the circumstances our life adventures' cross or entwine. "All we see of someone at any moment is a snapshot of their life, where they're in riches or poverty, in joy or despair. Snapshots don't show the million decisions that led to that moment." Richard Bach I like this quote because I think it's saying how we should remember that we don't know what people have had to go through that makes them how they are. We should get to know them and understand their past before we determine that we know them. I believe most people do the best they can with the information, and knowledge they have at the time. When they know better they do better. When circumstances change and different choices seem available they may be made. It is sad to me that so often in life we are left feeling not quite good enough. We look to others, our family, friends, loved ones to remind us that we are worthy of being loved, respected and liked. I know that we should keep the power of our self-worth in our own hands. Unfortunately, knowing it and doing it can sometimes be difficult. "If you judge people, you don't have time to love them." Mother Theresa “Remember that I’m Human. Before you judge me or decide how you’ll deal with me, walk awhile in my shoes. If you do, I think you’ll find with more understanding we can meet in the middle and walk the rest of the way together.” Eric Harvey and Steve Ventura: "Walk Awhile in My Shoes" "When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself." Unknown "Judge not, that ye be not judged." The Bible, New Testament, Matthew chapter 7, verse 1 |
