The trend over recent years has been "reality" television. Most of them do not reflect my reality in any way. Some shows are competitions where the participants are vieing for opportunities to show their talents and win prizes and opportunities that might catapult them in the direction of their career dreams.

Other shows are about helping. I especially enjoy these programs; "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and the new "Big Give." I watched Oprah's show yesterday and was impressed at the various innovative approaches the different people used to provide solutions for the people they were trying to help. Some did awesome and some didn't do as well but everyone that needed something got at least a little assistance to move in the direction of their dreams.

It is a postcard perfect Monday here in Florida and I am inspired to pay closer attention to the people I meet each day to see if I might offer them some assistance. It would be spectacular if everyone had a willing spirit and helping hands. Enjoy this Marvelous Monday.
