Starting today and continuing throughout New Years, several people I know have planned to travel. Yesterday, just driving around St. Petersburg and Tampa was a challenge.
Some people have their turn signals on and have no intention of turning. When I mentioned my frustration at this, I was told that some people turn on their signal when they pull out of the car lot after they purchased their car and it has remained on ever since.
Impatience and frustration seem to be the most descriptive words for travelers this time of the year. I'm sure studies would show more yellow lights are run and more accidents occur in store parking lots than at any other time.
To all my family and loved ones who will be traveling, I wish them a safe and fun-filled trip. One that will result in fantastic, happy memories. As for myself, I won't be traveling far from home. I will keep my suitcase in the closet and enjoy the Florida sunshine.

As the traditional postcard greeting says, "Having a wonderful time. Wish you were here!"
