This is where I go most everyday. On the weekend I like to go here for brunch. During the week I find inspiration for my book as I walk this beach.

I've taken my sons and their families here and built sand castles. I've walked this beach with my dear friend David Hallal before he passed away. I've played in the surf with loved ones and rejuvenated my spirit here.
No wonder with so many glorious and wonderful beaches here on the Gulf Coast, beaches just across the street from where I live, that I choose to go the 5 miles to Pass-A-Grille. It is a touch of home for me.
My life has been filled with many residents. I have moved often. My homes have come and gone like the water washing away my sand castles so another can be built in its place.
I love the water and feel sometimes that I must be a misplaced mermaid. That would explain why I don't understand when people aren't nice to each other and why I feel so at home at the seashore.
Whether it was sitting on the "big rocks" at the creek near my childhood home in Arlington, or at Watagua Lake, to being at Pass-A-Grille today - I love being outside at the water's edge where problems seem smaller and possibilities enormous.
