With the exception of sports, there were only a few TV shows that David Hallal watched and enjoyed, but he was a loyal fan of "NYPD Blue".

It is somehow appropriate that I should be watching the last episode alone in a hotel room in Long island traveling on business to educate travel agents.

I viewed the first episode alone in a hotel room in Seattle talking on the phone to a nearby room where the other half of the "Dynamic Duo", David Hallal, was watching the show. We had fun critiquing the show. David was hooked early on and watched as often as possible over the next 11 plus years.

I wasn't as vigilant but whenever we were together on Tuesday night we tuned in.

David is gone and after tonight NYPD Blue will end. Just as this popular show will continue to live in reruns -- David continues to live in my memory.

I rerun our experiences. Tonight David is probably checking out Sipawitch and the rest of the gang as he watches this episode from heaven.
