Worth your time.
I have never posted a video of this length before. I believe in Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution. I know that when my twin sons were babies I was vigilant about feeding them what was best as suggested by the doctor. Then when school started it was more about sending them off with a pop tart or sugary cereal before school. French Fries and "Junk" was all too often the diet of the day. My way of trying to introduce a better love of vegetables was the dreaded "Vegetable Week". A week of vegetarian type meals culminating in getting to pick out your own steak on Friday. Ludicrous!

My intentions may have been well founded but my approach way off. Children and adults need to eat a good breakfast - not start their engines with a sugary jolt. I know this. Like everyone else I have heard the battle cry, "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day". Hearing, even knowing they are right didn't make the doing done. Now I make a more concentrated effort to eat healthier. I learned from my dear friend Nancy that meals with lots of color can make a positive difference. She was/is absolutely right. I now follow her suggestion that I incorporate at least 5 different colors into my diet a day. My son Jim and his wife Carol are featured towards the end of this video. They are standing to the right of the tent where Jamie is talking. Jim has a beard and shakes his head. Carol has curly hair and is standing in front of him. I am posting this video not to show them off (that is a bonus) but because Jamie's message is important. I wish you a healthy happy life. Sunday, April 25

Exciting news...
My grandson, Jake, has found a rock shaped like Ohio. He wants to put it on EBay so he can get $50.00. I can't wait to see it.

Roller Derby
![]() If you ever get the opportunity to go to see Roller Derby in person, GO! I am confident you will find that you have a great time. My voice was still weak from my stubborn cold and after the excitement of yelling for the various jammers, I lost it completely by the end of the day. Today sunshine and relaxing helped to restore both my energy and voice. I am looking forward to this "bug" being in my rearview mirror and having a productive week. I wish each of you the same, good health, productivity and time for fun with your family and friends. Sunday, April 4
Happy Easter!
![]() All I need to know I learned from the Easter Bunny! Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Everyone needs a friend who is all ears. There's no such thing as too much candy. All work and no play can make you a basket case. Everyone is entitled to a bad hare day. Let happy thoughts multiply like rabbits. Keep your paws off of other people's jelly beans. The grass is always greener in someone else's basket. To show your true colors, you have to come out of the shell. The best things in life are still sweet and gooey. May the joy of the season fill your heart. AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU! Happy Easter! |
