Symbol of Peace
Why is the dove the symbol for peace? Why not a pillow?

I've learned...
I've learned....

That we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for. I've learned.... That money doesn't buy class. I've learned.... That it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular. I've learned... That under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated and loved. I've learned.... That life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes. I've learned.... That to ignore the facts does not change the facts. I've learned.... That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people smarter than I am. I've learned.... That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile. I've learned.... That no one is perfect until you fall in love with them. I've learned.... That opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss. I've learned.... That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he may have to eat them. I've learned.... That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. I've learned.... That I can't choose how I feel, but I can choose what I do about it. I've learned.... That when your newly born child holds your little finger in his little fist, that you're hooked for life. I've learned.... That the Lord didn't do it all in one day. What makes me think I can? 0 comments Friday, September 26
"I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are."

Signs that made me smile.
You never see a motorcycle parked outside a psychiatrist's office.

If you are what you eat....I guess I'm fast, easy and cheap. Sometimes seeing signs like these make you laugh and think that maybe "Hokey Pokey" is what it's all about. I hope you see something today that makes you smile. 0 comments
It's the dash that matters.
Tombstones show the date of birth and the date of death. The really important information lies in the dash, what the person did between, that is what defines them.

May you stop "dashing" around, live your life with enthusiasm and appreciation. It will not matter how much you own, the cars, the house, the cash. What matters is how you lived and loved and how you spent our dash. You never know how much time you have left, you may be in mid-dash range. Are there things in your life you want to change? Begin now. Slow down to consider what's true and real. Try to appreciate more, love more, respect and try to understand the way other people feel. Wear a smile. Be pleased with the way you spend your dash. Enjoy! 0 comments |
