Getting to know me:
I am blessed with an over active enthusiasm gland and an appreciation of the precious gift of life.

I am trying to break lose of being a hostage "to what I should do."

Do I have the courage to step across the threshold into the exciting world of possibilities?!?

Sometimes there isn't anymore time
We need to remember that sometimes there isn't any more time, no more opportunities.

No more hugs,
No more lucky moments to celebrate together,
No more phone calls just to chat,
No more "just one minute."

Sometimes, what we care about the most goes away...
Never to return before we can say good-bye, to say "I Love You."

Sometimes, there isn't any more time to make dreams a reality.

No more time for risks or to take chances.
No more time to make mistakes and try again.
No more possibilities.

Life, relationships are more fragile than we realize.

We need to treasure what is important and help those in need whenever we can.

Children with bad report cards; dogs with bad hips; and aging parents and grandparents - we keep them because they are worth it, because we cherish them!

Life is important, and so are the people we know and love. We keep them close! Or should!

Don't let time run out on you. I know that I appreciate the time you have shared with me reading my blog. I hope you enjoy this day to overflowing. You are terrific.

Guardian Angels
From time to time I have mentioned my belief in Guardian Angels. I am truly blessed that my life has been touched by people who have miraculously come into my life at a time when, without my realizing it, they were needed. They helped me to deal with my life situation and in each case touched my heart and enriched my world because of their presence. Sometimes it would be words, or actions from a stranger that would effect a major change in my outlook or inward feelings. Sometimes it has been a colleague or friend, and sometimes it has been family.

My niece, Dawn, created a miracle for me this week and I am most grateful.

I am excited to head to Huntington, West Virginia tomorrow morning. I am going to visit my son Jim, my dear daughter Carol, and my amazing grandson Jake as we all welcome the arrival of Jake's new brother. I am thrilled to be able to come up early and join in the preparation and then the celebration when the newest McKay arrives.

It is a wonderful miracle when a new baby is born. I have hit the jackpot in that category. I gave birth to fantastic, incredible twin sons and now have the priviledge and pleasure to be the grandma to beautiful, amazing Hope and handsome and talented Noah and Jake.

It is my deepest wish that each member of my family and friends experience the wondrous pleasure, life changing experiences, and assistance that happens when they tune in and recognize the Guardian Angels that touch their lives. To all the guardian angels in my life, please know the joy you give me and the appreciation I feel.

In the dark
Storms took out the power last night. There is supposed to be a back-up generator but unfortunately it didn't work. It was a terrific opportunity to check out the candles and emergency flashlights, radio, etc. Not so terrific was the absence of air conditioning or the ability to use a fan.

Happily the discovery that more candles and batteries are needed came before Hurricane Chris or any other tropical storm comes calling.

Fortunately, my cell phone worked so I was able to receive a call from my son Tom and my grandson Noah. Noah was excited to learn that his grandma was in the dark (smile). How? Why? What happened? Noah has already proven he has tremendous talents for sports and has acted in a play. He has musical and dancing talent and excels at school. I've always known without any doubt that Noah, Hope and Jake will succeed in any life choices they make. Now I am wondering if Noah may want to consider journalism.

It's easier to think and plan BUT...
Intention is great HOWEVER it takes action to move forward. How do you know if your actions will be the right ones? You don't. You need to do your homework, think about the various possibilities and consequences and then do something. Take a step.

Too often fears of "what might happen" conspire to keep us within the familiar. I've been trying for months to break out of the cocoon of familiarity. I'm taking action, making steps and am excited to see where I emerge.

Grace is when God gives us what we don't deserve and mercy is when God doesn't give us what we do deserve. -Unknown
